Top Car Safety Tips
1.) Make sure your newborn is safely buckled into a car seat in the back. Hard to believe, but a generation ago nobody knew any better about putting children in the front seat. Now, it’s recommended that children remain in the back until they’re teenagers.
2.) Drive the speed limit. You’ll be surprised how much easier it is now than it was before baby.
3.) Give yourself plenty of travel time. You’re less likely to speed if you’re ahead of schedule.
4.) Stay out of the left lane: Most accidents occur in the “fast lane,” plus, you’ve got more room to maneuver in the center and right lanes.
5.) Drive like you did in driver’s ed class: That means hands at 9 and 3, not one hand on 12 and another fiddling with the radio.
Practice road safety to keep you and baby out of harm’s way!
