The delicate little hands, the sweet cupid mouth, the tiny toes all combine together to make the most precious object imaginable – your child. When celebrating one of your child’s special occasions, give your guests something just as precious, delicate and lovely as your baby. The Capodimonte company has produced the very finest quality ceramics and porcelain since the mid 1700’s and their porcelain favors will surely become treasured keepsakes for all your friends and family.
Capodimonte History
Established in Naples in 1743 by the Spanish King Charles VII of Napoli and his wife Queen Maria Amalia of Saxony, the Royal Factory of Capodimonte started producing the finest porcelain and ceramic works of art in all of Italy. Renaissance-inspired chemists, sculptors and decorators all worked at the Capodimonte factory, perfecting the composition of soft paste porcelain and creating amazing works of art that were exhibited in the Museum of Capodimonte. During the Napoleonic Wars, royal interest shifted from art to politics, so the artisans at Capodimonte began creating beautiful decorations and vases for the middle class. Throughout more than two hundred and fifty years, both royalty and middle class alike have been enthralled by the exquisite craftsmanship of Capodimonte.
